Blog Relaunch & 2021 Spring Update
Happy Cinquo de Mayo, and welcome back to the Gifyyy blog!
First off, a big shout out to new Gifyyy owners — quite a few new faces on board so far this year, and we're thrilled to have you on board.
Things have been pretty quiet over here, as they have across the events industry at large, but we're still here, and have been beavering away, keeping the tech that powers Gifyyy up-to-date.
With things starting to pick up again in the wedding & events industries, we'll be posting here a lot more regularly this year, including some tips and tricks for getting the most out of Gifyyy.
If there's something you'd like to see us writing about, shoot us an email to blog@gifyyy.com!
Spring 2021 App Update
Last month we put out an update to the Gifyyy iOS app. It's a bit trite to say bug fixes and performance updates, but the heart of this update is a big performance boost to Gifyyy's capture workflow. This should mean better iPad battery life during events, better performance on older iPads, and increased app stability during very long events.
We've also added an experimental Square Format to Gifyyy. For now this is accessible via the application settings in the iPad's Settings App, but if this proves popular we'll move this over into the Event Settings within the app.
With this release, we've also improved overlay preview & display on the 11" iPad Pro, and solved an issue where certain settings were inaccessible for iPads running in dark mode.
